TECHNICAL DATA SHEET ECOWORK SMT 455 is an emulsifiable oil, free from nitrites, specially developed for steel and aluminum machining operations, and can also be used for brass, providing a high level of surface finish in automatic lathes, transfers, and CNC machines.
PROPERTIES:
· Opalescent white emulsion that provides good cooling to the cutting zone, with good anti-corrosive properties in the moving parts of the machine tool.
· The usage life of ECOWORK SMT 455 emulsions is longer than conventional products due to their stable nature, avoiding associated problems and significantly improving workshop hygiene. They can be used in centralized baths.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
· To prepare ECOWORK SMT 455 emulsions, it is necessary to use water with a hardness between 40 and 80ºHF, and the chloride content should not exceed 600 ppm.
· To achieve a good emulsion, it is advisable to pour the ECOWORK SMT 455 into the water and then stir.
· DO NOT pour water onto the ECOWORK SMT 455.
· The recommended dosage is 5-6%, depending on the type of operation and material used, and it will be advised in each case by our Technical Service.
PRECAUTIONS:
· When using ECOWORK SMT 455 emulsion for the first time in a machine tool that has previously used another product, it is advisable to clean and disinfect the machine.
· This is essential if the emulsion has had fermentation problems.
· For cleaning, we recommend using a specific product like our CLEANER ADDITIVE, following the instructions provided in the technical information and the advice of our Technical Department.
RECOMMENDATIONS :
Avoid automatic emulsion dosing installations with copper pipes; always use PVC.
