TECHNICAL DATA SHEET SYNTHETIC FLUID, WATER SOLUBLE AND STABLE
DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS:
ECOWORK STV GEN2 is a synthetic water-soluble fluid, free from nitrites, specially developed for grinding operations on steel and cast iron. It can also be used for induction hardening operations.
ADVANTAGES AND PROPERTIES:
· Is stable, allowing for longer solution life in the machine, resulting in economic savings compared to frequent changes required with conventional solutions.
· Is a special product to be used with low hardness water, where foam formation is important due to agitation. The product DOES NOT FORM FOAM.
· Has excellent cooling properties due to its low surface tension, providing good detergent qualities, preventing wheel loading.
· Also offers the advantage of being free from compounds and elements harmful to health and the environment, such as nitrites, phenols, chlorine, sulfur, heavy metals, PTBB, and mineral oil, among others.
PRECAUTIONS:
· When using ECOWORK STV GEN2 emulsion for the first time in a machine that previously used another product, it is advisable to clean and disinfect the machine.
· This is essential if the emulsion has had fermentation problems.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
· To prepare ECOWORK STV GEN2 emulsions, it is necessary to use potable water with a maximum hardness of 30ºHF and a chloride content not exceeding 200 ppm.
· To achieve a good emulsion, it is advisable to add ECOWORK STV GEN2 to the prepared water and then stir.
· DO NOT add water to ECOWORK STV GEN2.
· The normal usage concentrations for grinding operations range from 3 to 4%, depending on the type of water used and the material being ground, as recommended by our technical service.
· Steel grinding 3%.
· Tool sharpening 3%.
· Cast iron grinding 3-4%.
· Induction hardening 5-6%.
· We recommend initially preparing baths at a concentration of 5% to increase stability and anti-corrosive properties in the initial hours of operation.
